About ormed in the late eighties from the remnants of Rankelson, The Happenin' soon built up a loyal and solid following playing venues all over the U.K. Early recordings were played on several radio shows including the Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show, Virgin Radio and several local BBC stations as well as many independent radio shows. These shows in turn led to interviews with many of the rock magazines of the time. By the mid nineties the music business was fast evolving and huge commitment was required from all sides and this led to the founder members leaving to pursue other successful ventures. In the meantime The Happenin' lay dormant until mid 2005 where the lure for the founder members to re emerge was to strong. A number of venues were booked and played to rave reviews culminating in selling out their 'come back' concert at The Point in Cardiff. After numerous drummers we have found the perfect fit in Wez who has been on the welsh music scene for some time. After being introduced to the band by a mutual friend (cheers Phil) he was invited to become the fourth member of the THE HAPPENIN' . The Happenin are currently writing new material for 2011 and will be 'Back on the road' in November 2010. The new CD due to be recorded in January 2011 will most likely contain new songs and one or two Happenin classics.
